The musician who creates drum and bass sounds only with his mouth and voice
Beatboxers are musicians who use only their voice to create rhythmic drum and bass sounds (vocal percussion). In addition to the vocal cords, beatboxers also use their oral cavity, tongue and lips to produce sound. The musical style is called beatbox or beatboxing and has its origins in hip-hop/rap. Over the years, the technique has evolved and there are many examples of beatboxers who also sing in their songs and create sound effects like scratching. The term beatboxer comes from the drum machines that famous rap artists rapped to in the 80s. However, many young rappers from the ghettos couldn't afford a drum machine, and so beatboxing was born.
You probably have a background in rap and/or hip-hop, but most importantly you are rhythmic, musical, and very interested in experimenting with different techniques to create all kinds of sounds with your vocal cords, mouth, tongue, and lips. Microphone skills are also beneficial to make the sounds as effective as possible.
