Translate your CV to nine languages

When you apply for jobs abroad, it can be quite practical if your CV text has been translated into other languages. Your StagePool CV can be translated into nine different languages and in this article we will take a closer look at how to do it.

StagePool Language Flags

The static texts in your CV are automatically translated when you print your resume or create a PDF and select one of the alternative languages from the drop-down menu. But did you know that you can also translate all the text that you have composed in your CV? You may have seen your main language's country flag displayed below or next to each input field where you can enter your text. This is your default language - on English StagePool the English flag is selected as default.

Below, we will walk you through how to add a language, delete a language, and, when your translation is completed, how to view your CV in the different languages.

How to add a language:

  1. Go to your CV and click on the edit button for the desired section.

  2. Hover over the plus sign next to the flag for the field you want to edit

  3. Select the flag for the language you want to add.

  4. Enter the desired text in the field.

  5. Continue with the next field.

  6. Save when you're done.

How to delete a language:

  1. Go to your CV and click on the edit button for the desired section.

  2. Tap / click the flag for the language you want to delete.

  3. Delete all text in the field.

  4. Save the page.

  5. The language you selected is now gone.

How to view your CV in different languages:

When you are on your CV page, there are several ways to view your CV in other languages.

  1. Use the flags above the navigation (English, Norwegian, German and Swedish)

  2. Print your resume and select your language from the drop-down menu (all ten languages)

  3. Create PDF and select language from the drop-down menu (all ten languages)
