Quality-raising procedures and rules for our assignments

StagePool applies a comprehensive and proven regulatory framework to ensure that the jobs published by us keep consistently high quality. Our quality work includes the employers, the assignments as well as the members.

Routines and rules for our quality work with employers, casting directors and their assignments

  • StagePool contacts and reviews all employers, casting directors and other types of clients who want to use the advertising and directory services we offer. No one gets access to the system before the employer has been approved.
  • All ads posted on StagePool are reviewed by at least one person before publishing. We have an incorporated policy for how a job advertisement may and may not be formulated.
  • All ad content must be honest, factual, clear and easy to understand. We do not allow derogatory, offensive, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable content.
  • We publish unpaid jobs only if there is an apparent gain for beginners to easily gain experience and thus get a stepping stone into the industry. An example of such jobs is school and student productions.
  • We examine extra carefully missions where nudity occurs. Examples of assignments where nudity is allowed are e.g. sketching modeling or where the characters should be naked on stage or in movies, where the storyline so demands. Missions of pornographic nature are not permitted.
  • The salary / fee specified in a job advertisement shall be valid unless otherwise agreed. StagePool takes no responsibility for the salary / fee promised by the employer.
  • Employers who systematically utilize free labor are not permitted to continue to advertise on StagePool.
  • Employers who avoid taking responsibility for preventing harassment, discrimination, violations, etc. at the workplace are not permitted to continue to advertise on StagePool.
  • If we receive complaints from members that the employer violates these rules and/or our Terms of Use, we will always contact the employer directly to find out what has happened. We then clarify our position and the rules that apply. We reserve the right to warn the employer or close its account.
  • Employers who violate our rules repeatedly are blacklisted and may also be reported to police.
  • We do not take a stand either for or against any trademarks, products and services that may occur in assignments published through our job ads. However, we are happy to have an open dialogue regarding suitability and ethics in our content.
  • We always follow Swedish legislation in our approach to criminal acts. StagePool is not a court and we will not be part of a media drive that judges people before the whole picture is cleared.

Our members' rights and obligations

  • Take responsibility for your person, do not leave your career ahead of your well-being if you get ill-treated at your workplace. Always start talking with your immediate boss. Your employer has a duty of confidentiality and is responsible for paying attention to and dealing with violations, harassment, bullying and discrimination.
  • If you are subjected to violations, harassment, bullying, discrimination or the like under a mission provided through StagePool, please contact us. If you don't let us know, we can not help you either.
  • Abuse should always be reported to police. Please contact us first if you want support and assistance on how to proceed.
  • If you get offers that seem too good to be true then they are, probably, too. Our industry unfortunately attracts a lot of "gold diggers" and fraudsters. We have procedures for how to handle such cases, so please contact us if you suspect you are being tricked.
  • An audition or casting usually does not happen at home with a private individual. If you get a private home address, you should bring a friend - or insist on meeting the person in a public place, such as a cafe or similar.
  • You should never have to pay a fee to attend an audition or casting. Except admission to some schools and auditions for some agents abroad.
  • Always read the job advertisement carefully before applying for the job so that there are no misunderstandings about the terms. If there are any ambiguities, please contact us and we will try to figure it out.
  • If you are an agent and any of the situations above occured to your clients, always contact us at StagePool so we can start an investigation.
If you find that we have failed in our routines or if an employer or casting director violates our rules, please contact us immediately!
