The profession that transports equipment, staff and actors between locations in the film and television industry
Drivers drive a vehicles between camps, bases and filming locations, halls and other venues during the filming of feature films, television series and shows, major sporting events and on major touring productions. This may involve transporting equipment, personnel and spectators.
In addition to driving vehicles, drivers are responsible for making sure vehicles are ready to go in the morning, clean, fully fueled, and fully functional for the job, and must park them in the evening.
You will need a driver's license for cars, and ideally trucks, and should have extensive driving experience. Since work days can be long, they must be flexible with work hours and able to accommodate extended attendance. It is an advantage to have extensive knowledge in the field of car mechanics, as they will be responsible for the operation of your vehicle.
